We have over 30 years’ experience in hiring out instruments and we have one main aim; to hire quality, setup, and serviced instruments that will encourage the player to learn and play to their full potential. It is one thing to make such a bold statement, but another to actually deliver on it.
This may seem obvious but there is still more to quality than you would think. We choose every instrument we hire, and from the pool of high quality instruments we cherry pick the best. We base our choices on how the instruments sound, feel, and play to ensure they only ever encourage the best performance from the player.
In-between hire agreements the instruments are checked over and any work and attention they need is given to them to make sure they play perfectly. A setup mostly consists of some precise measurements and adjustments to make the instrument easy to play and sound its best. In some cases we even upgrade parts to make sure we get the best out of the instrument.
Just like a car instruments need servicing between hire agreements. They all require different forms of servicing but in the case of brass and woodwind instruments they are completely stripped and rebuilt – this includes re-oiling, greasing and regulating.
Whatever the instrument they are checked and thoroughly inspected prior to leaving our warehouse door. If any instrument is not up to our rigorous standards we won’t let it go.
