The Jupiter flute range is our chosen entry level instrument that is perfect for anyone starting out. Built by KHS Musical Instruments Co they are one of the largest musical instruments manufactures in the world.
They build solid instruments that will stand the test of time, and they are more than accepted by the teaching community as quality instruments.
Geared towards the beginner, they play easily and could take a player from just starting out right up to a grade 4 standard (roughly four years) without needing to worry about upgrading.
All Jupiter flutes are silver plated and come with all the necessary accessories such as case, cleaning cloth and cleaning stick.

You can purchase your hire flute. At any point during your agreement you can contact us to arrange the purchase. All of the payments made, up to a maximum of six months, will contribute towards the purchase price listed below.

About Jupiter
Since 1930 KHS (the company behind Jupiter) have focused on instruments to support musicians. KHS stands for Kung Hsue She, meaning  a company helping schools and culture, and by 1980 was a full scale musical instrument manufacturer offering a complete line up of Jupiter woodwind and percussion instruments.
Today, they not only manufacture Jupiter instruments, but also the professional Altus flutes used by world famous flautists around the world.
New vs Reconditioned
A reconditioned flute returns the instrument to as-like-new condition as possible, including the replacement of all soft parts (pads, corks, felts, etc.)
The flutes are dipped in a solution to remove any dirt and grease from both inside and the flute body and keywork. It is then hand polished and new oil added to keywork as needed.
Once sparkly clean, the flute is rebuilt, replacing pads and corks as we go. Roughly, 8 hours in the workshop!
