Whether you’re hiring an instrument for regular use or just for an event, we’ve made the process easy and straightforward. All instruments are quality checked, professionally prepared and delivered ready to play.

We offer both monthly and short-term hire options.
Monthly instrument hire can be found under Instrument Hire and is ideal for lessons, regular practice or long-term use. You pay a simple monthly fee and keep the instrument for as long as you need.
For gigs, weddings, school concerts or short projects, our short-term event hire is available under PA, Live & Event Hire. You choose your hire dates and pay weekly, making it easy to hire exactly what you need, when you need it.
How to Order, Delivery & Returns
Choose the instrument you need, add it to your basket and checkout. For short-term or event hire, simply select your hire dates before paying.
Some larger items require delivery to be quoted individually — where this applies, you’ll see a Delivery Quote Enquiry link on the product page.
For monthly hire, instruments are dispatched soon after you order, with the option to select a future delivery date (such as the start of term).
For event hire, equipment arrives on the first day of your hire, with a delivery time slot sent by email.
Returns are straightforward: smaller items can be dropped off at a Post Office or Parcelforce location, while larger items are collected directly from you.
Monthly Hire
Minimum hire usually 3 months (4 for pianos/full-size cellos).
After that, keep playing and paying monthly, or return anytime with no extra charge.
Event / Short Term
Charged per hire.
Hire can start and finish only on weekdays, and you have a 3-day return window after the hire period ends.
Monthly Hire
Instruments are insured during your hire. You must report loss or theft to the police and provide the incident number – there’s a £45 insurance excess.
Event Hire
A security deposit is taken at checkout. If equipment is lost, stolen (without a police report), or damaged beyond fair wear and tear, you may forfeit the deposit or be charged for repair/replacement.
Payments are taken securely by credit/debit card or Direct Debit. Monthly hires are ongoing until you return the instrument; event hires include a security deposit returned after safe return.
With monthly hire, you can purchase most instruments at any time. Where available, you’ll see an Option to Purchase link in the product description. Up to six months of hire payments can be deducted from the purchase price — just let the team know and we’ll take care of the rest.
